Our thoughts are with those people in our Adelaide Hills community that have been affected by the recent fires. All of us know someone who has been seriously affected by these fires, with some people losing everything. To all those who have lost their homes, our thoughts are with you and we wish you all the best with the rebuilding.
A huge thank you to all the CFS volunteers, SES and emergency services personnel who did so much to help save and protect property and people during the fires.
Burnt Trees Pose A Potential Danger
Following the recent bushfires in the Adelaide Hills many trees have been seriously damaged by fire, and may pose a threat to people, property or animals. It is quite distressing to see the extent of the damage through the beautiful Adelaide Hills and particularly to see 100+ year old trees severely damaged by these fires. Whilst many of these will survive and regrow a number will need to be felled to protect people and property.
It is wise to seek the services of a professional tree arborist, who can advise you on the best way to save your trees or if necessary, safely fell these trees.
You will notice both the state and local government personnel have been actively identifying dangerous trees along the road sides.
It is a good idea to have the trees in and around your property properly assessed as well.
It can be quite difficult at times to assess if trees have lost their structural integrity, and therefore may be dangerous or pose a threat.
